Testimony by Tina Tray - Current client
"I bought Takoma in June of 2008. He had the greatest temperment and I needed that since I'd had a few serious riding accidents in the past. The only catch was he was quite pigeon toed and his hooves were a mess. But I decided he was worth the chance and I bought him anyway. I began searching on the Internet for someone to help me with his hooves. I came across Natalie's website and it "spoke" to me. I just knew she could help us!
Takoma had all kinds of issues when we started. He had long toes, seedy toe, cracks, inverted walls, and tiny, unhealthy frogs. You can see some of his problems in the "Before" photos.
I cannot tell you how many people told me to "Put shoes on him." and "There is nothing you can do about his hooves." I didn't listen since I'd been doing my own research and I was seeing positive changes with Natalie's trims. I encourage everyone to do their own research so they are not at the mercy of the myriad of opinions at The Barn.
I shudder when I imagine how lame Takoma would be now if I'd kept him on the path he was on regarding his hooves before I purchased him. As the "After" picture depicts, his hooves have improved immensely and he's sound on the trails, even on rocks. I ride him two to three times a week regularly.
Takoma is one lucky horse! He's living proof that there is help and a purpose for every horse, even if they aren't "perfect".
