Testimony by Erin Wilson, rider @ Shoe Free Performance horses - 2008
"I never knew about shoe free horses or actually gave it a lot of thought because in riding school if the horse didn't have shoes, we didn't ride it. When I started riding with Natalie and Greg, I began to learn about horse's hooves. Natalie told me how painful shoes can be for horses and she showed me the process of trimming and how to recognize a healthy hoof. Over the course of a year I have watched Natalie bring in horses that had the most unnatural looking hooves because of shoes and many were considered unrideable. I witnessed those horses going sound. I began to notice that I could see in the horse's eyes how much happier they were and how much more willing they were to work. After this experience, I could not imagine ever putting shoes on a horse again."
