Duffy is a 19 year old Tb. She's been competitively show jumper since 2004 barefoot with no lameness issues whatsoever. She won Grand Champion Schooling Jumper (3' - 3'3") on May 21, 2006 at Sandstone Farm in Millwood, Virginia. She was retired in 2008 since she'd been jumping for ten years and deserves to be a pasture pet and herd mom now. UPDATE: Sadly Mama (as we affectionately called her) had to be euthanized in Nov. 2009). RIP sweet girl.

Hamilton (left), is a 7 year old never shod Percheron Cross owned by Clarise Russeil. Clarise employed my trimming services in May 2006 and by the next month she began learning to trim Hamilton herself. She had one soreness scare after she trimmed a little too much off the toe but after that learning experience she's done it all herself successfully. I check her work every other trim cycle for encouragement and both horse and rider are doing very well.
Samson (right), is a 6 year old Belgium owned by Susan Nelms. He's never been shod. I began trimming him in August 2006 and he went through one sore two week period while he adjusted to a new trimmer but he's been sound with beautiful hooves ever since. Susan rides him in the beautiful hills of Middleburg and is considering taking up fox hunting.
